Nha Trang beach
Strong
4G along the beachfront and in the cafes. Good for maps, calls and uploading the morning's photos.

Khanh Hoa, south central Vietnam
A Nha Trang eSIM is installed before you fly and works from Cam Ranh airport, where the transfer and the ride apps need data. One Vietnam plan covers the beach, Po Nagar and the island boats without a second SIM.

The four moments when a working line changes the day.
Switch the eSIM on inside arrivals. The airport is 35 km out, and the transfer needs a map and an app.
Check bus 18 or book the car, then pin the hotel before the beach road.
The centre is walkable and the signal is good; load the Cham tower opening hours before you climb.
Screenshot the booking and the boat's number. Between the islands the signal is not the point.
A guide to the places the phone will be asked to work, and what to download before you get there.

Strong
Coverage at the site and on the approach. Save the opening hours before the climb, because the upper terraces are slower.
Thin
Signal holds on the boat near shore and fades between the islands. Download the tour details and keep the phone in a dry bag.
Strong
A working connection in the terminal and at the bus stop. This is the place to load the map and the hotel pin before the 45 minute ride.
Cam Ranh International Airport is about 35 km from Nha Trang, a ride of about 45 to 60 minutes according to Vietnam Airlines. The airport's own transport guide lists a bus at 50,000 VND in about 50 to 60 minutes and taxis at about 300,000 to 400,000 VND depending on the operator and vehicle.
Vietnam Airlines puts ride-hailing at about 250,000 to 350,000 VND and names Grab. Cars pick up at the arrival halls and the app needs data, so the eSIM should be on before you walk out. Route 18 serves the airport from stops across the city.
Vietnam Tourism describes day trips around Nha Trang Bay to islands such as Hon Mun, Monkey Island and Yen Island, and suggests speedboat tours. The Khanh Hoa tourism portal lists tours to Hon Mun, Hon Tam and Hon Mieu, with a minivan pickup from your hotel to the boat.
Before a boat day: screenshot the booking, the pickup time and the operator's number, download an offline map of the bay, and pack a dry bag. The 4G figure for Vietnam counts where people live, not open water between islands, so a live connection is a bonus rather than a plan.
A beach day, estimated for one phone used normally.

Add 1 to 2 GB a day if you post video, work from a cafe or share a hotspot with a laptop.
Prices come from the live catalogue in the currency shown. One plan covers Nha Trang and every other stop in Vietnam.
Prices in USD. The total, including any tax, is shown before you pay.

Bus 18 costs 50,000 VND and takes about 50 to 60 minutes according to the airport's transport guide. Taxis are about 300,000 to 400,000 VND, and ride-hailing about 250,000 to 350,000 VND according to Vietnam Airlines.
Near shore and on the boat, mostly. Between Hon Mun, Hon Tam and the other islands the signal comes and goes, so save the tour details and an offline map before you board and keep the phone in a dry bag.
Yes. Grab lists Khanh Hoa, the province Nha Trang sits in, among its locations, and Xanh SM has run electric taxis in the city since 2023.
Yes. Cam Ranh has kiosks selling SIM cards and you need your passport for registration. An eSIM installed before the flight means data is ready when you land.
The same eSIM covers every city on this list.
